Buju Banton Will Return To Court On June 26th
Incarcerated Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton will return to court on June 26, 2013.
Federal Judge James Moody Jr. has ordered Buju, as well as juror Teri Wright to appear in court on the same day in relation to the juror misconduct case after the Grammy winner’s legal team and Chokwe Lumumba are requesting a new trial on the grounds of a juror misconduct.
Buju Banton and his legal team are requesting a new trial on the grounds of a juror misconduct. Mark Myrie, aka Buju Banton, is currently serving a 10-year sentence in a Florida’s prison and he could be facing an additional five years for a gun charge that was previously thrown out.
After juror Teri Wright’s computer was examined a couple of weeks ago and no records of misconduct were found it was also established she did hand over the wrong computer.
Judge James Moody will hand down a ruling on June 26.
