We recently reported and posted in full the exclusive Vybz Kartel’s phone interview that aired on Fox-5 New York just a couple of weeks ago.
If you didn’t yet click here for Lisa Ever’s Vybz Kartel Full Interview, where incarcerated Jamaican superstar Vybz Kartel talks about the conditions of his prison cell, how it feels, his health, his thoughts and hopes, his music and how he is looking forward to the UK Privy Council re-examination of his case and his ongoing battle for freedom.
Fox 5 News reporter Lisa Evers, said that the artist had reached out to her as she was the only journalist he has spoken to in 10 years since he’s been behind bars.
Following that interview different Jamaican agencies have launched a major joint investigation into how Kartel was able to join the interview with Fox-5’s Lisa Evers in the United States.
According to some reports, the investigation will go to the extent of verifying whether the voice on the call was that of the incarcerated World Boss. If yes, the state will also assess how the deejay came to have a mobile device while in the cell.

As reported earlier on, the Department of Correctional Services already added extra security around the artist’s cell at the Horizon Remand Center months ago after the deejay appeared on an Instagram Live with Head Concussion Records producer Rvssian. As a consequence of that, a search in the incarcerated dancehall king cell resulted in finding contraband such as phones, that were all seized.
