Jamaican superstars Spice and Vybz Kartel’s albums both debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Reggae Album Chart this past week.
Known as “The King” and “Queen” of Dancehall, Spice and Vybz Kartel built stellar careers and cemented forever their name in their music genre and beyond.
Over a two-decade-long career, both artists proved they can deejay, write songs, deliver incredible live performances, launch other artists’ careers, provide never-ending inspiration with their lyrics, and breaking records!
Both Spice’s “10” and Vybz Kartel’s “Born Fi Dis” albums are gems, fans and critics are raving, and so are sales and the streaming for both projects!
Spice is experiencing nuclear success all over the world garnering great attention, with numerous first place in charts and multiple trending videos on YouTube, “Go Down Deh” and “Send it Up,” just to name her latest.

World Boss album Born Fi Dis, debuted on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at number nine, and as the Dancehall King proudly put it on of his Instagram post, he was able to achieve it all with:
“NO major Label. NO promo. NO video. NO interview. NO gift Card. NO freedom,” as he captioned the post, adding:

Vybz Kartel’s album “Born Fi Dis” opened at No. 9 on the Billboard Reggae Album chart. The number one spot still belongs to Bob Marley, who is spending his 84th week on top with Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailer’s A Greatest Hits Collection, first released in May 1984 by Island Records.
“Born Fi Dis” has sold 605 in pure album sales with an equivalent of 1,290 total units of consumption from sales and streaming in the United States from its first week of release. According to data from MRC, the 12 track album had 812,638 audio streams and 182,880 video streams in the US during its first week.
