Vybz Kartel Latest News & Family Day Prison Photos 2018

Fans of World Boss Vybz Kartel get the latest news on the incarcerated dancehall star.

Like every other year, toward the end of August, inmates in Jamaican prisons can receive their relatives visits and spend the day with them in what’s is called a “family day” .

While in the previous years of Kartel’s incarceration we saw photos with his kids and baby mothers, this year for family day Kartel took some photos with his favorite cousin Slimatic and his best man Sikka Rhymes.

Some photos of Kartel’s family day in prison for August 2018 have been posted on social medias and based on the majority of comments left, most of Kartel’s fans are worried about their idol ‘s health, since in the new photos the Gaza General looks like he slimmed down of several pounds, and while some are asking if Gaza General is really in jail, most of the comments following the photos ask why he got so skinny, expressing concerns for his health state.

Well, Vybz Kartel is really behind bars, even if the photos in question are taken in front of a colorful backdrop, and yes, he has been sick while in jail and he was transported to the UWI hospital for an emergency check, and he was diagnosed with a kidney infection and other problems since he has been behind bars, so yes,Vybz Kartel lost a lot of weight because he is not eating much and still not getting adjusted to the prison’s diet  A reason more to let the man finally walk free, and let’s not forget he was also at a center of a scheme to murder him, back in 2015. 

Meanwhile the appeal trial is over and Kartel and co-accused still have to know their fate, add that to the equation and you will see how it all could be simply relate to stress and bad food.

But Vybz Kartel is smiling still and holding on the faith and that’s the message he is sending to his fans as well. stay strong, smile, live on.

In Jamaica, where the struggle is real people always keep a positive mindset, and while Kartel is patiently awaiting for the appeal trial verdict, he is talking photos with his siblings that are going to be shared over the internet, of course he is smiling. Just remember a lot of times when people are sad they smile even bigger.

Vybz Kartel and co-accused, their family and fans, and the whole dancehall community are currently awaiting for their appeal trial’s verdict that could take even till the end of the year to come out and while there has been a stop to new music coming out for the appeal, Kartel hinted on social media that new music will soon coming out, fact that was confirmed by  Linton of TJ Records, Vybz Kartel’s main producer, that has been working on Kartel’s forthcoming studio album to be release this fall.

Beside, Kartel has reasons to smile, new and old alliances have been formed via his music while he has been behind bars, the two top female rappers in US are his number one fans, with both Cardi B and Nicky Minaj showing love to Vybz all over the place, [Minaj has been calling Kartel her “King and baby” lately], and Cardi shared her love for the incarcerated Gaza General since day one.

Vybz Kartel, whose given name is Adidja Palmer, Dancehall artist Shawn Storm, real name Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John are all appealing their 2014 life sentences, related to Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams death.

During five days of submissions in the appeal that was heard before Justices Morrison, Frank Williams and Patrick Brooks, Kartel’s and co-accused lawyers argued that their right to a fair trial was prejudiced by a number of factors, including the admission of “contaminated” evidence.

The Court of Appeal is still deciding on the verdict and would give no indication when the decision will be handed down, President of the Court, Justice Dennis Morrison said, after defense attorneys wrapped up their oral submissions, that the case will be given “some priority attention”.
